  • Mission statement

In the beginning, the Fellowship was organised by thirty-seven people with various disabilities, who were full of enthusiasm to succeed and founded the Fellowship on 14 January 1949.

The Fellowship is a member of the Devon Association of Disabled Fellowships, and supports our members who live in residential care along with our community based members who live in their own homes, all our members are supported by the Visiting and Activities Co-ordinator to support independent living, along with the use of the Fellowship minibuses for social activities throughout the year.

We meet on the second Thursday of each month and there are additional activities throughout the year, such as Day Trips, Theatre trips, visits to organised events throughout Devon and many more, along with the Annual Lunch, DADF spring party and Christmas Lunch.

The Fellowship has two vehicles, which have been adapted to carry wheelchair users and are both fitted with an electric lift to aid access, there are also removable seats which can be removed or fitted as and when necessary.

The Fellowship is a registered charity and membership is subscription based but the benefits far out way the subscription cost
