International Justice Mission UK

International Justice Mission (IJM) is a human rights organisation that rescues victims of violent injustice; this includes sexual exploitation, slavery and oppression. IJM deploys criminal investigators and lawyers to conduct criminal investigations, collect evidence and mobilise law enforcement to rescue victims and bring perpretrators to justice working with national legal systems.
IJM also works to ensure victims have access to quality aftercare that meets their broad and complicated needs.
IJM staff operate in 14 field offices in Africa, Asia and Latin America and resource offices are based in the USA, Canada and the UK.
Founder and CEO, Gary Haugen, established IJM in 1997 after serving as Director of Investigations for the United Nations following the genocide in Rwanda in 1994.
