We are a LOCAL CHILDRENS CHARITY based in Runcorn Old Town. Our aim is to offer play opportunities to children of all abilities through the different services we provide, whilst supporting families with Short Breaks. “R Clubs” is our after school and Saturday Short Break service. These are for children and young people, aged 4 to 18, with a wide range of additional needs,. Our “Saturday Play Club” runs every week. We also offer free “Holiday Playschemes” during school holidays

    The charity's objective and principal activity is providing support and representation for the voluntary sector in Halton, in all its play, work and activities. Mainly aimed at children and young people primarily those with additional needs

  • Aims

    Halton Play Council aims to:

    • To support families with additional needs children up to the age of 18 by the provision of safe, secure and engaging short break sessions on a weekly basis
    • To provide Open Access play clubs and playschemes throughout the Borough to offer play opportunities to all
    • To promote parental engagement in play by offering free drop in play sessions for under 5s with the opportunity to hire toys from the toy Library for just £1
    • To encourage recycling and use of our Scrapstore for the benefit of the local community and local groups
