North Wales Deaf Association was established in 1994 to support people with hearing loss throughout North Wales

Founded 1994

  • Mission statement

    The aim and principal activity of the Charity is to improve the quality of life of profoundly deaf, deafened, deafblind and hearing impaired people within North Wales by the promotion, development and provision of appropriate facilities and resources. This is achieved by providing the following services:

    • Advice and Information
    • Deaf Awareness, communication training and BSL Awareness training for businesses and service providers
    • Education Officer and services
    • Equipment demonstrations and advice for deaf people
    • Community Support Services
    • Communication Advice and Support Service
    • Befriending Services
    • Lobby for equal access to services and employment
    • Promoting the Welsh deaf identity
    • Family Support Group
