Brighton Oasis Project

Brighton Oasis Project delivers a broad range of trans-inclusive services to women of all ages and backgrounds with drug and alcohol problems within Brighton & Hove and East Sussex. The environment is safe, confidential and non-judgemental. We offer a service for sex workers via our SWOP team as well as therapeutic services via Young Oasis to children aged 5-18 affected by Parents and Carers’ issues and crucially, a nurturing crèche (thus removing a common barrier to women accessing help).

  • Mission statement

Oasis Women’s Project aims to improve the lives and maximise the potential of the diverse range of women, children and young people affected by substance and alcohol misuse. We seek to prevent and reduce drug and alcohol related harm to women and their families by providing services which offer a continuum of holistic support from harm minimisation through to total abstinence. These services are complemented by specialist services for children and young people, and by services for women working in the sex industry.

The trustees and staff have given considerable thought to the ethos, culture and approach that characterises the Brighton Oasis Project and the environment we operate in, which can often seem messy, turbulent and chaotic. Within this context, out organisation is fundamentally a set of relationships that reach outward to the external environment
