Mission statement
The BCA was set up to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Barnes and Mortlake in London SW13. We foster a sense of community in the neighbourhood bringing togther the inhabitants, the local authorities and voluntary associations in a common effort to:
1) advance education and provide facilities for recreation to improve the conditions of life in the neighbourhood.
2) promote the preservation, development and improvement of the character and amenities of the neighbourhood. The BCA acts as a pressure group for many environmental issues
3) maintain and manage a Community Centre in the furtherance of the above objectives. The BCA owns a property, Rose Cottage in the centre of Barnes which acts as a community centre -
