The Blond McIndoe Research Foundation

"To become a world renowned centre of excellence in the field of wound healing. "

This charity is the legacy of the famous plastic surgeon, Sir Archibald McIndoe who pioneered new ways of treating the badly burned aircrew from World War II. His dream was to have a research centre in the grounds of his beloved Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.

Our scientists continue to work to find new and better ways of treating serious wounds with particular reference to burns and childrens scals.
