Charity information

East Anglian Air Ambulance

EAAA runs two fully medically equipped emergency helicopters serving East Anglia and the surrounding areas. With a highly skilled doctor, critical care paramedic and specialist medical equipment on board each flight,we are effectively able to fly the expertise of the accident and emergency department to the scene, as well as transferring patients to the most appropriate hospital for their clinical needs. For many, our service can mean the difference between life and death.

  • Mission statement

The objects of the charity are the relief of sickness and the protection of human life principally (but not exclusively) by the provision of an air ambulance service (whether or not in conjunction with other parties from time to time) wholly or mainly within the area served by the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust.

It costs approximately £11 million yearly to keep the helicopter flying. We are not eligible for government or national lottery funding and rely on public donations to cover this amount.
