YMCA Norfolk provides accommodation and support for 240 homeless young people across the county of Norfolk of which 38 are single parent families. We also work with other families to reunify looked after children or keep children within the family home who are at risk of coming into care.
YMCA Norfolk also works in schools providing counselling services, offering mental health peer mentoring programs and mental health first aid training to teachers and other youth work professionals.
Transforming young lives.
YMCA Norfolk aims to:
- To raise £5,000 in our Christmas appeal which will be used to provide a positive Christmas experience for the homeless young people we support.
- To raise £60,000 to convert a property in Great Yarmouth to provide 14 units of supported yet affordable accommodation for young homeless people.
