Crisis Point identifies & provides specialist counselling, practical support/guidance to victims of rape & child sexual abuse, improving life course outcomes for victims and their families.

    The charity’s aims and objectives are
    As quoted in our memorandum of association & written resolution the company’s objects are:

    To relieve the sickness and distress of victims of sexual assault and their families, in particular through the provision of counselling, advice and support; and

    To advance the education of the public in sexual assault, and in the effects on the victim and their families.

    The primary client base, suffering the psychological and emotional trauma of sexual crime, reside within Walsall and Wolverhampton local authority boroughs.

    Crisis Point has been working with victims of serious and less serious sexual crime since 2000, the charity’s founder and Chief Executive, Carole Minter-Wright also founded The Walsall Rowan Centre, the only Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) based in the West Midlands at that time in 2004.
    CRISIS POINT pioneered the fast track STI screening system that now sits as best practice, guidance for developing new, and existing SARCs.

    The charity currently provides the support and on-going care in many working partnerships, across all sectors. The charity has been a key player in improving sexual violence services for victims in the West Midlands, networking with agencies based local, regional, and national.
