BUSA, the British University Sports Association, is the governing body of University sport within the UK. Founded in 1919 by seven Universities, the Association has undergone several transitions before being launched as BUSA in 1994.

On a national level BUSA offers 50 sports to 151 UK Universities throughout the season. These sports include Athletics, Basketball, Climbing, Golf, Hockey, Football and Swimming to name a few. The BUSA Sporting programme draws on 1. 4 million students with over 3500 teams engaged in BUSA competition on a typical sporting day. BUSA also coordinates Team GBR for the World University Games and the World University Championships.
