Jerusalem and the Middle East Church Association (JMECA)

JMECA supports the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Supporting the clergy and the various educational, medical and social establishments and programs within the province.

  • Mission statement

    JMECA is registered as a Charity in the UK. It seeks to encourage support for the religous and other charitable work of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, which is a Province of the Anglican Communion. It plans its work in consultation with the Central Synod of the Church and acts as an external agency providing a link between the Province and the rest of the Anglican Communion and presenting its work and needs. Its publication 'Bible Lands' is a part of this link process.

    Money given will be allocated in consultation with the Dioceses and the Province, and if donors require their contributions to be used for a particular purpose, the Association will always respect their wishes.

    • Providing news and reflection through JMECA's Bible Lands magazine
    • Working for reconcilliation in the Middle East through dialogue and practical support
    • Encouraging prayer for all people of the Middle East
    • Financially supporting the Church's social projects in the Middle East
    • Raising awareness of the situation of Christian communities in the Middle East
