Founded 2001

  • Mission statement

Farming and Countryside Education (FACE) is the leading education charity for the food, farming and countryside sector.

FACE leads a wide-ranging national network of partner organisations, working together to help children to learn about how and where their food is produced, how to cook and prepare food, and to appreciate all that the countryside can offer them, for education, employment or for leisure.

FACE trains farmers to host safe and educational school visits to farms, which has been approved by the DCSF under its new Quality Badge scheme for outdoor learning providers.

FACE also offers a wide range of training opportunities for teachers and works with its partners to develop high-quality curriculum-linked resources for use both inside and outside the classroom. These can be accessed via the hugely successful website: www. Face-online. Org. Uk

FACE works in every region of England and in Wales through a team of locally-based coordinators, with a background in education.
