Opera Holland Park Friends

Opera Holland Park Friends was founded in 2002 to help promote artistic excellence and opera accessible to all – and particularly young people. Funds raised by the Friends contribute to the costs of the artistic and educational programmes each season. These include:

• Sponsoring a production; in 2011 the Friends will be sponsoring La Wally by Catalani

• A free ticket scheme for 1,200 young people each season and 500 for the over 60s

• Workshops introducing opera to children from the age of 10 years

• Pre season evening lectures

Donors benefit from the knowledge that they are helping to bring the magic of opera to the young, who will become the audience of the future; to the elderly, who could not otherwise attend; and supporting one of the most genuine success stories in recent years in the United Kingdom.
