BRACE - Alzheimer's research

BRACE is a fundraising charity dedicated to fighting Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia through scientific research.
Our aim is to beat dementia and, with your help, we can!

Founded 1987

  • Mission statement

BRACE raises funds to support a continuing programme of research into dementia. Our work is intended to increase our understanding of the causes of dementia, improve diagnosis and identify more effective treatments.
Our aim is ultimately to help defeat dementia.
Fundraising is carried out in a variety of ways, through events, sponsorship, donations and legacies. We concentrate our fundraising in the West Country but are pleased to receive support from people in other areas.
The research scientists we support are based at the Universities of Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and the West of England (UWE).
Although our work is pragmatically organised on a regional basis, its beneficiaries are people anywhere and everywhere in the world.
