After Adoption

Did you know one in four people have a connection to adoption?

After Adoption is a family finding agency and adoption support charity, supporting adopted children and families, adopted adults, and birth relatives who have lost children to adoption.

We provide a comprehensive range of services that enable people affected by adoption to deal more positively with the difference this brings to their lives.

We offer information and support via a free national helpline, individual counselling, family work and groups. We have also developed numerous innovative projects alongside our mainstream services to raise awareness of adoption issues, create a better understanding of adoption, and to respond to specific needs not met by other agencies. Our family-finding service, Families that Last, specialises in finding families for children who, because of their age, ethnicity, disabilities or other factors would otherwise live out their childhoods in the care system.
