Dark Horse aims to be the leading vocational trainer of actors with learning disabilities in the UK, and beyond. It also strives to find opportunities at the most ambitious level for its artistic work, which integrates disabled and non- disabled actors, creative professionals, and audiences.

    Dark Horse seeks to influence and question all practice and creative outcome which includes learning disabled actors and to share insights and leanings with the industry, policy makers, the media and wider public.
    With a commitment to diversity and access to quality theatre experience, appropriate training and working opportunity for all, Dark Horse shares its energy and creativity with partners, audiences and participants across the UK. It is a conservatoire for the research and development of new work offering learning programmes for industry professionals, premiere touring theatre productions in the UK and beyond, and a commitment to creating innovative and engaging digital content.
