The Centre is intended for people over 60 who are isolated by either location, type of disability or lack of family support. Our services are broadly preventive, and serve a number of different purposes for different needs. Our main aims are to reduce isolation and encourage social contact away from the home environment.

    The Day Centre aims to promote the welfare of people over 60 mental and physical health issue in older people. Our mission is to help older people to be actively involved in their community.

  • Aims

    Halstead Day Centre aims to:

    • To provide support to socially interact with other people, and reduce isolation and loneliness.
    • To offer a range of low intensity activities,for vulnerable people, that provide mental and physical stimulation and help maintain independence in their own homes for longer.
    • To provide a break for family carers, some older themselves and struggling to cope with the many caring situations they find themselves in.
