NOVA new opportunities

Each year NOVA provides a vital stepping stone for over 1000 disadvantaged residents of North Kensington and the surrounding deprived areas via basic skills courses and pre-employment support.

Founded 1983

  • Mission statement

Since 1983, NOVA new opportunity's mission has been to help committed and motivated individuals to develop and fulfil their skills, confidence and employment potential. Many of our users are unemployed, economically inactive or trapped in low-paid work. NOVA adopts a holistic approach and facilitates access to institutions and services, galleries and museums; supporting our users in their personal development and into further education and employment by offering quality advice and guidance, basic skills courses and a variety of workshops and volunteering opportunities. NOVA brings about real and lasting change in people’s lives by addressing each and every learner as an individual and seeking out ways to best support that person to reach their goals.

  • Aims

    NOVA new opportunities aims to:

    • To provide a supportive low-stress environment where users can gain the skills and confidence needed to enter or re-enter the workforce or simply to get more from life.
