Emmaus Hampshire aims to meet the needs of the homeless and socially excluded by offering an opportunity to move from homelessness and dependency to a place where people can begin to regain control over their lives and their circumstances, and work towards independent-living. ”
The Emmaus Hampshire Community in Winchester offers up to 25 formerly homeless people at any one time a place to live, work and rebuild their lives, whilst also offering companionship, trust and security.
Our aim is to create a Community where all, feeling free and respected, can meet their own needs and support one another through work and the life of the Community, serving first those whose need is greatest.
Emmaus Hampshire aims to:
- • Encourage positive attitudes towards homeless and marginalised people
- • To be an effective part of our wider community
- • Demonstrate solidarity and support for those in need
- • Value and respect every person
