Charity information

Hill Close Gardens Trust

The Trust manages sixteen restored Victorian detached garden plots in Warwick, a group unique in the UK, to the benefit of the townsfolk of Warwick, residemts in Warwick District, and the nation. The gardens, around 1ha in total area, are an oasis of tranquillity within 300m of the centre of Warwick, and were almost built over. They contain listed summerhouses and a fine collection of fruit trees. The Hill Close Centre provides visitor amenities, and is a valued community venue.

Thanks to the generosity of Heritage Lottery Fund, Advantage West Midlands, Warwick District Council, and many others, the restored Gardens were re-opened to the public for Easter 2007. We now wish to develop the Gardens to maximise their educational potential across all ages, to make them totally inclusive, and to complete restoration details where funds have not yet allowed.
