  • Mission statement

The Special Yoga Centre exists to help each individual to reach their full potential through the practice of yoga.   We aim to give all children in this country the gift of yoga through the education system to aid their capacity to learn and to feel positive about who they are in the world so that they can fulfil their potential.   The Special Yoga Centre also contributes to the community with nurture and compassion to support parents and carers of children with special needs and to bring the healing quality of yoga to all.

The foundation block of the centre’s philosophy is one of inclusion. A place where everyone can come together regardless of age, ability, religion or ethnicity and enjoy the practice of yoga.

We are also a Centre of Excellence for children’s yoga teacher trainings, including courses specifically tailored for working with children with special needs.
