Founded 1994

  • Mission statement

The Sinfield Nature Conservation Trust works to advance the conservation of wildlife and wild places for the public benefit. The charity is dedicated to protecting habitats and wildlife and it aims to involve people in the skills of appreciation and protection of the natural environment.
The charity carries out its work at White House Farm at Hasketon in Suffolk: a 115-acre wildlife site and organic farm, consisting of ancient woodland and hedges, ponds, meadows and areas dense with orchids and other rare wildflowers.

This reserve hosts a wide variety of flora and fauna, and is especially important for its ancient trees and unimproved grassland, a rapidly declining feature in Britain, where 97% of species-rich grassland has disappeared in the last 50 years.
