The principal object is to provide for and conduct the education of children in accordance with the principles and methods enunciated by Rudolf Steiner.
This objective of the charity is carried out through the administering of Wynstones School. The day to day teaching is carried out by full-time and part-time paid staff under the responsibility of the College of Teachers.
Steiner Education in the UK is made up of a small but growing number of schools. It offers what we believe is a very valuable educational approach and we have a very vibrant and dedicated community of pupils, parent and guardians around the school. Whilst Steiner Education enjoys a far greater presence in Europe and beyond, where government funding supports new and existing schools, in the UK, where the first school was established in 1925, all schools have grown and developed without government support and with reliance on very dedicated people generating financial support, fees and funding, predominantly as part of a community that does not have the financial wealth commonly associated with other types of privately funded education.
