~Every Year in the UK, around 2 million children are taken to hospital A & E departments as a result of accidents.
~From the age of 7, children are more likely to be injured while NOT in the home.

WARNING ZONE is operated by Leicestershire & Rutland CRIMEBEAT Ltd and was set up by the High Sheriffs' Charity CRIMEBEAT. The ZONE opened on 17th October 2006 occupying a 20,000 sq. Ft warehouse. The space was designed and built within 11 months opening on time and on budget.

The aim of the WARNING ZONE is to provide an outstanding educational resource, teaching vital safety and social responsibilty messages through a series of inter-active scenarios. It is the first Safety Edcation Centre in the East Midlands. The target audience is year 6 pupils (10 & 11 year olds) due to the transitional phase in their education and the age of criminal responsibilty.
