The Birchall Trust provides support to those affected by rape, sexual exploitation and sexual abuse in south Cumbria and north Lancashire.

  • Mission statement

    The charity, South Cumbria Rape and Abuse Service was established in 1991 by a local woman, Christine Birchall with the aim to relieve the mental and physical distress of persons and their families who are victims of rape, childhood sexual abuse by offering support, information and counselling in the area of South Cumbria and North Lancashire. In more recent years, the organisation has engaged in work towards the advancement of education, the prevention of this crime and the understanding of the affect on the victims of sex crimes.
