Turntable Furniture

Collects donated furniture, carpets and electrical appliances to pass on to families and individuals on low incomes living in Exeter and surrounding areas.

Founded 1993

  • Mission statement

Turntable is a furniture re-use charity, covering Exeter and surrounding areas, that collects donated furniture and electrical appliances and passes it on to families and individuals living on benefits who are referred to the project by social and other support workers. We do not sell any of the furniture that we collect, thus ensuring that it goes to those need it most.

As well as giving furniture to those who can least afford to furnish their homes, our other objectives are to assist local Councils in their Recycling Strategies, by keeping large quantities of furniture out of landfill sites and also to provide valuable work skills experience and support to the long-term unemployed volunteers who man the project.

  • Aims

    Turntable Furniture aims to:

    • To collect donated furniture to pass on to low income families and individuals.
    • To support local recycling strategies by keeping large quantities of household items from local landfill.
    • To provide valuable work skills experience to long term unemployed volunteers.
