The Donna Louise Children's Hospice

The Donna Louise Children's Hospice provides respite and end of life care for children with life threatening conditions.

Founded 1999

  • Mission statement

The Donna Louise children's hospice was established as a charity in 1999. It is named after Donna Louise Hackney, a local child who suffered from cystic fibrosis and died at the age of 16.

Donna Louise cares for children with life limiting conditions who, as a result of illness or injury are not expected to live to adulthood. Respite and end of life care is provided at the hospice and also in the family's own home by our Community Nursing Team.

we need to raise £3 million each year to continue the vital work we do. Quite simply, we would not exist without the support of the public
