The charity is the leading independent advice agency in Hartlepool offering welfare benefits, debt, housing and disability advice and support to disadvantaged people in Hartlepool as well as advice on energy efficiency, benefits, grants and non-medical support to individuals and families in North East England whose lives have been affected by cancer.

    The organisation aims to continue to provide for the residents of Hartlepool and in particular residents of West View, a resource centre service, which is sustainable in the long-term focussing on the needs of the residents.

    The core purpose of the the Centre is to alleviate poverty through the provision of advice. Advice on such issues as debt, housing benefit, disability benefits and welfare rights. The service is delivered through out reach, home visits and in-centre appointments. Additionally the Centre provides a wide range of training facilities and is a venue for the support of vocational and non-vocational learning.
