Trinity Theatre & Arts Centre

Trinity Theatre is based in the centre of Tunbridge Wells. It presents the work of innovative touring theatre companies and also creates its own productions, and supports local artists. As well as a theatre, Trinity has an art gallery which has a temporary exhibition programme; it also holds comedy cafes and a wide range of music events. The theatre is at the centre of the community – it has 450 places on its youth theatre and a wide range community groups meet in its friendly bar and café.

  • Mission statement

Trinity is at its core a theatre which defines what we are.
We aim to provide a space where people can come together to experience the best of the arts including drama, stand-up
comedy, contemporary music, classical music, dance, and cinema and to give them inspiring experiences that enable them to laugh, cry and dream.
We want to welcome and reflect our audiences, community and environment and find ways to reach and engage and inspire
the greatest number and widest range of people that we can.
To do this we aim to build strong reciprocal and sustainable relationships with artists, companies and producers. We also believe we have a responsibility to support local artists and performers to give them opportunities and experiences when we can to help them develop and hone their talents.
We have ambitions to originate work and productions whether this is by supporting others or producing work ourselves.

Trinity’s culture is defined by its values which we aim to embody and express in all our interactions and communications on stage and off.
    These core Values are:-
Welcoming - We want to be a friendly and welcoming venue encouraging people to engage with us and form sustainable relationships
Diverse - We value diversity in all its forms both in the people that we engage with and the work that we present.
Professional - We want to demonstrate the highest standards in what we do, the interactions that we have and the work that we present.
