Street Forge Workshops

Street Forge provides training for people with a wide range of disabilities including physical and sensory, learning disabilities and mental health issues. We operate as a social enterprise.

Founded 1987

  • Mission statement

Established now for 20+ years in rural Suffolk near the county boundary with Norfolk. Street Forge provides a day service and training base for adults with disabilities incl. Physical and sensory, mental health and learning disability. We aim to develop self confidence and new skills for paid work and volunteering opportunities in the community.
Training offered in IT, bench joinery, turning, carving, horticulture, art and craft
and Independent Living. Key Skills are going to be embedded across all training. Street Forge has a franchise agreement with West Suffolk College in Bury St. Edmunds to deliver nationally recognised qualifications for people wishing to progress down this route.
Street Forge is an emerging Social Enterprise and needs to move from current premises to a larger site within the next 3 - 5 years.
