Berkeley Castle Charitable Trust

The Berkeley Castle Charitable Trust was set up in 1997 to run and maintain the 12th Century Norman Marcher Castle at Berkeley, Gloucestershire, still lived in by the Berkeley Family who built it. It is listed in the top 20 most architecturally important buildings in the UK and has seen the murder of King Edward II, plotting, rebels and hosted virtually every King & Queen of England.

The building is in urgent need of repair, renovation and updating of services that have had little attention for the last 90 years and need upgrading. The Castle is open to the public so that the amazing history of the Castle and Famliy can be shared. It is estimated that £5. 5 million is required in total.
