AfriKids is a child rights organisation working in northern Ghana to alleviate acute child suffering and poverty.
AfriKids mission is to ensure that every child under the age of 21 in Ghana is afforded his/her rights as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and to do this by building the capacity and resources of local people, organisations and initiatives in such a way that they will be able to continue their efforts independently and sustainably in the future.
Our philosophy is to:
Listen to what a community knows it needs
Empower them to make the necessary changes themselves
Ensure absolute sustainability
