  • Mission statement

    Ashridge exists to develop managers.

By developing their knowledge, skills, behaviours and practices, Ashridge seeks to contribute to their personal success, that of their organisations and of wider society.

Ashridge Business School is a catalyst, a place where people come together, where plans are infused with passion and where futures are launched. We engage with middle and senior managers from around the globe. We offer a combination of learning, consulting, facilitation, coaching and research that is directly applied to the realities and challenges being faced by organisations. This mission sets out to ensure that individual participants, management teams, or global teams of managers are successful in the private and public sectors.

While Ashridge did not open as a business school until 1959, a culture of profound engagement with social, economic and political challenge has existed for centuries at Ashridge. Our 13th century beginning was as the seat of the Augustinian College of Bonhommes and the estate has served for a period as a residence for both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Later, as the home of the 3rd Duke of Bridgewater, the Canal Duke and facilitator of the industrial revolution, Ashridge continued its role as a centre of influence and commerce. Its atmosphere is one where tradition meets innovation. Ashridge is not a place for the run-of-the-mill nor for transient management fads. New thinking and ideas abound that are explored and validated for the benefit of our clients.
