  • Mission statement

Same Sky is an artist led charity, this collaboration between artists, performers, musicians, storytellers and technicians work together to mobilise the imagination strengthen communities and gladden the heart. We create events that engage the old and the young, schools, colleges, community groups and individuals to celebrate their neighborhood and their lives. We see this art making as part of an inalienable right to access and make culture, a bottom up approach that shuns the ideas of high brow and low brow. We see this creativity as an engine for self respect and confidence for individuals and neighborhoods alike.

Our work engages directly with communities to produce a wide range of celebratory events for urban and rural communities and neighborhoods. Our work is centered in the south east but then expands into national and international delivery. We help communities to devise new civic rituals to replace those lost by the changes in society. We then foster these events for as long as it takes to embed them in their communities, and then hand them over with ongoing support to those communities. We also deliver training courses and master classes for artists, teachers, young people and social sector champions.
