Safe in Sussex provides a range of services to people experiencing domestic abuse these include: Drop in Centre,
Refuge accommodation for women and their children, support groups in the community such as the Freedom Programme and Recovery Toolkit.
Safe in Sussex also delivers Healthy Relationship Educational Programmes into both primary and secondary schools in West Sussex.

    Worthing Women's Aid trading as Safe in Sussex was established in 1977. It exists for the benefit of all women and children experiencing abuse and violence, The key aim of its services is to support and empower women, children and young people to remain free from all forms of psychological and emotional abuse and physical and sexual violence.

    Safe in Sussex (trading name of Worthing Women's Aid) aims to:

    • To provide safe accommodation to women and their children to enable them to recover and rebuild their lives free from abuse.
    • The provision of support groups in the community to enable women to gain a greater understanding of domestic abuse, how it effects children, to help women gain confidence and self-esteem.
    • To break the cycle of domestic abuse through the provision of healthy relationship educational programmes for children and young people.
    • Provide a domestic abuse drop in centre, where the whole community can access specialist advice and support.
