Good News Family Care (Homes) Ltd

GNFC exists to provide • a 'safety net' for families in crisis • strengthening of family bonds • quality child care and family support • empowerment in skills for work • specialist addiction support

Founded 1994

  • Mission statement

GNFC began in 1994 as a response to needs presented through working with young people and famiies in a small church. At Charis House, in the Derbyshire spa town of Buxton, we provide supported accommodation in comfortable furnished rooms for women and their children who are experiencing serious difficulties. Some famlilies need a 'breathing space', away from the usual pressures - a place where they can begin to address their difficulties. Others, facing problems of a more serious nature, may need a higher level or ongoing support.

At GNFC we seek to empower the people we serve to make the first steps towards rebuilding their lives through a range of support services and through working in partnership with local and regional statutory and voluntary agencies.
