Age Concern East Cheshire

Age Concern East Cheshire, established in 1988, has been working for the past 19 years to help to improve the quality of life of older peope by promoting choice, opportunities and independence. The philosophy of the organisation is based on the belief that each person has a right to a life which promotes their well-being, a life which provides opportunities for them to benefit from and to contribute to the community as fully as possible and which assists them to fulfil their social, cultural and personal needs.
We provide a wide range of innovative high quality services and initiatives which include Computer Learning, Healthy Lifestyles, Information and Advice and Day Care for older people who are physically frail with additional health problems such as dementia. We have 150 volunteers who support most areas of our work. Although we are affiliated to Age Concern England we are an independent local charity without any central funding.
