Southampton Women's Aid

For more than 43 years, we have worked with women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse.

We offer a range of services, all of which are non-judgmental and non-directive.

  • Mission statement

    Southampton Women's Aid has been helping women, children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse in the area for 43 years.

    We provide first response for women and families who are forced to leave their home; on-going advocacy and support for those who are coping with abuse and it's effects; and work with schools to help young people develop healthier relationships and avoid the cycle of abuse.

  • Aims

    Southampton Women's Aid aims to:

    • To support women and children within the area of Southampton who have suffered or been exposed to domestic abuse, keeping them safe from further harm
    • Provide on-going advocacy and support helping women to build long-term self esteem, resilience and life skills
    • To work with vulnerable children who have suffered or been exposed to domestic abuse
