Do you value independence of thought and freedom to educate your children as you wish to? Please help us keep this school alive>
This charity is a small Independent Prep and Choir School (role currently circa 100, both day and boarding, boys and girls) needs new Nursery and Pre-prep facilities to cater for a large growing residential area at a cost of £1 million. The whole school is to be re-developed to provide music and arts facilities for the whole community.
The school contributes to the whole area by caring for choristers of two cathedral choirs , one boys, one for girls, and works in liaison with the very active arts scene in Ripon. The whole project, as envisaged by Architect Michael Wildblood OBE, is imaginative and wide in scope. The total cost would be about £5 million of which £1. 5 million could be raised from sale of land for housing but this can only be used for the Community Benefit. The We have already spent £200 000 in improvements and upgrading and obtaining planning permission for the next phase of building. Please help us to match it.
The school was re-founded in 1960 when the sale of Caxton books from the Cathedral library funded the purchase of the site providing an independent charity.
