Sheffield Futures

Sheffield Futures is an independent charity committed to enabling young people and adults to achieve their full potential in learning, employment and life. It formed in 2002 following the merger of Sheffield Careers Guidance Service and Sheffield Youth Service and has continued to extend its’ portfolio of services ever since.
Activities include:
• The delivery of positive activities to young people aged 13 to 19 through running youth centres and detached youth work in line with the Youth Service Positive Activities contract.
• The provision of a Universal service which is open and accessible to all young people, reflects the diversity of the communities in which they live and is available at times which meets their needs and interests. All Universal Positive Activities contribute to the achievement of the Every Child Matters Outcomes.
• The delivery of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to young people in schools and colleges and community venues throughout Sheffield.
• Targeted provision to support vulnerable groups such as young people classified as NEETs, substance misusers, those with learning difficulties/disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers and those with from black and minorities ethnic.
