Chailey Heritage Foundation is a pioneering charity providing education, care and transition services for children and young people with complex physical disabilities and health needs.

Our aim is to provide a stimulating and inclusive environment where all young people are given every opportunity to make progress towards fulfilment and develop life skills in preparation for adulthood.

  • Mission statement

    Chailey Heritage Foundation is a registered charity, providing a stimulating and enjoyable learning environment for children and young people between the ages of two to 25, who, with the help of a dedicated team of teachers, care staff, support staff and volunteers, are able to reach their potential.
    We will endeavour to unlock the full potential of every young person in our care. We will suppport and challenge every young person to gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to achieve the greatest possible happiness and independence.
    We will ensure that each young person is stimulated and encouraged to develop their social and emotional skills, their communication skills, their mobility skills and their physical skills to the very best of their abilities,and so equip them with essential life skills to take them through childhood, into adult life and beyond to a wider community.

  • Aims

    Chailey Heritage Foundation aims to:

    • To provide a curriculum which is stimulating, fun and appropriate to each young persons age and abilities.
    • To prepare young people and their families for the next step by providing an effective transition programme.
    • To challenge young people particularly physically , emotionally, socially and creatively so that each young person reaches their potential.
    • To promote the education and care of children and young people who have complex physical disabilites and other health needs.
    • To value diversity and promote equality of opportunity for all people (pupils, young people, staff, parents and carers).
