  • Mission statement

HALT stands for Help, Advice & the Law team and we work with people in Leeds who want support and advice that have experienced:

    • Domestic Violence
    • Sexual Abuse
    • Forced Marriage or Violence due to “Honour”
    • Stalking or harassment

We give legal advice, support and advocacy and often help to save lives. We’ve worked with thousands of families in Leeds over the last 20 years, and remain committed to reducing the risk of people in Leeds by providing expert and needed services.

Our advocates play a major role in someone’s safety by providing impartial and independent support and advocacy throughout a victim’s journey through the court system and effectively “walk” beside them so they are not alone.
