Community Chest

East Marsh Community Trust is a development trust based in the East Marsh Ward of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, one of the most deprived wards in the country.
The trust comprises three departments:
Community Chest, a furniture re-use and recycling operation, providing low cost, good quality furniture to those on low income or in receipt of benefit. At the same time providing volunteering , work placement and work experience and relevant QCF qualification opportunities in our workshop, warehouse and retail environments.
Community Advice Services (CAS) provides free advice, education and representation in financial capability, debt, welfare benefits, housing and homelessness, home energy/fuel poverty and employment.
Community Homes We acquired three properties which have been renovated completely and brought back into use. Our tenants have initially been unemployed and the tenancy agreement includes working with us to gain experience, qualifications and help us to help them back into a job.

    Community Chest is North East Lincolnshire's furniture recycling charity and a catalyst for community regeneration. We are committed to relieving the effects of financial hardship; increasing reuse and recycling, and creating training and work experience opportunities.
