Lingen Davies Cancer Fund is an independent charity dedicated to supporting quality cancer care for patients in Shropshire and Mid Wales through the funding of equipment and buildings.

Founded 1979

  • Mission statement

    The Charity is dedicated to improving facilities for people with cancer in Shropshire and Mid Wales, and for the relief of local cancer patients, since 1979. The Charity aims to improve facilities which will enable patients to be treated and diagnosed in the best environment possible.

    Previous projects include providing funds to:-
    Build and equip the Radiotherapy Department at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, together with the dedicated Cancer Ward 21 (Cobalt Unit Fund)
    Contribute towards further buildings to house a new Linear Accelarator (Linac Appeal)
    Build and fund the Hamar Help and Support Centre
    Build and equip a dedicated Children's Cancer Unit (Children's Cancer Rainbow Appeal)
    Build and equip the new Cancer and Haematology Centre at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (Cancer Centre Appeal).
