The Trust provides grants to The Manchester Grammar School to provide means-tested bursaries for pupils at the School.

  • Mission statement

    The MGS Trust (registered charity 526564) manages the funds raised to support means tested bursaries provision at the Manchester Grammar School. The current valuation of the fund is £24 million. Each year the Trust provides an annual bursary grant to the School to support 1:6 pupils with a means-tested bursary place. The School and the MGS Trust aim to establish a true bursary endowment fund of over £100 million so that a needs-blind admission policy can be introduced whereby no suitably able child has to turn down a place at the school due to lack of financial means.
