POWER International works with some of the most vulnerable people in the poorest countries of the world - those with disabilities. Our projects reduce discrimination and its impact, change perceptions and create equality of opportunity.
POWER's mission is to work with people with disabilities in poorer countries of the world, regardless of age, religion, sexuality or gender, assisting and empowering them towards a full and equal participation in society.
POWER International aims to:
- Reduce discrimination and its impact by changing perceptions and advocating equality of opportunity.
- Enable people who have disabilities to participate fully in their society by equipping them with any tools they may need to do so, such as prosthetic limbs, wheelchairs or specific training.
- Improve the accessibility of public spaces such as schools and places of work, so that people with disabilities are not physically barred from them.
