Brompton Recreation Group

Brompton Recreation Group is a volunteer run charity organisation that looks after the running and maintenance of the Weavers Pavilion and grounds, which includes a play area and football pitches.

  • Mission statement

    The constitution states that the objectives of the BRG are "To provide for the community in Brompton village and the surrounding area, in the interest of social welfare, facilities for sport recreation and leisure time occupation, for the purpose of relaxation and with the object of improving the conditions of life for the whole community. "

    The Association manages a 5 acre piece of land that is laid out with 2 full sized football pitches and a children's adventure playground. The football pitches are used by 13 very popular junior teams, include a girls team, and a senior team.

  • Aims

    Brompton Recreation Group aims to:

    • Refurbishment of the existing play equipment
    • Provision and installation of galvanised play spec fencing complete with self closing gates around the play area.
    • Installation of a dual use cycle/path-way around the perimeter of the field with the aim of providing a safe environment for children to learn how to ride their bikes and also a path for jogging.
