Founded 1994

  • Mission statement

Mires Beck Nursery provides horticultural training and work experience for people who have a disability, learning difficulty or who are recovering from mental ill-health. Over 90 people from the East Riding of Yorkshire and the city of Hull come each week to enjoy and benefit from being involved in a wide range of activities.

We produce a wide range of cottage garden plants and we specialise in the production of wild flower plants for conservation schemes. The running costs of the charity are covered by the sale of plants and funding from social services. However we rely on grants and donations for capital and development projects. The charity was established in 1994 and continues to grow and develop steadily.
