The London Playing Fields Foundation

The London Playing Fields Foundation is the capital’s leading body for the protection, provision and promotion of playing fields in London. We want to create a happier, healthier, more cohesive London by encouraging more people to play sport on accessible, affordable and attractive playing fields.

Founded 1890

  • Mission statement

The London Playing Fields Foundation aims to improve the health and wellbeing of all Londoners through the protection, provision and promotion of community playing fields. We are committed to widening, inceasing, sustaining and extending participation in sport and physical activity particularly for disadvantaged and marginalised groups.
Much of our work with these hard to reach groups is delivered through projects based at LPFF grounds. Via a combination of innovative thinking and effective partnership working, the LPFF has been able to help them overcome barriers to participation and join mainstream sporting infrastructure.
